Fascinated by the beautiful creations that came from her mother's and grandmother's sewing machines,
Amanda White-Iseli began to learn the craft from her mom at age six. Her first accomplishment was
a hand-made Christmas ornament, and from there it seemed the sky was the limit.
Amanda's interest in fabric design eventually lead her into the graphic design field.
While studying visual communications at the Maryland Institute, College of Art in
Baltimore, she learned the fundamentals of design and color theory. This lead to a
successful career in Art Direction that has spanned the last ten years.
Throughout her time spent in the mostly two-dimensional world of print design,
Amanda never lost interest in fabric and sewing. Four years ago she began sewing
again, making unique items for herself, family and friends. As friends' families
started to grow, she began designing kids' clothes . . . and from there Whirlybird was hatched!
Whirlybird tees and other specialty items are handmade from the highest quality
materials and are unique and fun in every way. Please enjoy!
